It's so hard to be motivated to do school work when it's summer and you're in a foreign country. I had no class today so I slept in. Then I went online and did nothing. I wrote about a paragraph and read 5 pages while making lunch. Then I took another nap. I love sleeping.
Today was a really pretty day. It was warm enough to not wear a sweatshirt and it's the first time since I've been here that it hasn't rained. Jessica and I went downtown to do some shopping. We first went into h&m. I really want to get some skinny jeans, but I just feel like I look like a lightbulb in them. They're always too long and look funny when cuffed. I don't know. I found two really cute tops though. I think if I go to warped tour I am going to wear one of them. H&M has been having this really good ongoing sale, so I got the two shirts for about 11 pounds. Sweet! There is a shoe store right next to H&M that has the cutest stuff. I really like the shoes and might just have to pick up a pair before I come back. We'll see. They're just so cute. After that we went to Top Shop because I haven't been there before. They had so much cute stuff there but it was just soo expensive because of the exchange rate. We found these cute dresses and tops and stuff, but didn't get to try any of it on because the store was closing. We decided we are going back tomorrow. After that we met up with some of Jessica's friends to get some dinner. We went to an Indian vegetarian buffet. It was only 5 pounds which was nice, but I've definitely had better indian food. I miss Indian food at home. Here everything is sweet. It's really weird. Then Jessica and I went into Boots. It's like a high class rite aid type of store. It's amazing. They sell all this really awesome make up there, like benefit, ysl, etc etc etc but also have the really cheap stuff too. It is just fun to look around and play there. haha. I got hand soap and it smells like lilac. Yay.
I have so much summer reading I want to do. I brought three books over here, bought three for class, bought HP6, and will be buying HP 7. I am determined to finish these before Sept 25th. We'll see how well that goes. I think I'll get through HPs pretty quickly. I'm going to finish one of the books for class tonight. We don't really have to read them, but they're interesting and fun. I would rather read them than write my paper right now, so that's what I'm doing. Plus, I always feel so accomplished when I finish a book. Maybe that will be motivating. I'm happy I've found books that I am excited to read.
I'm really glad I didn't go anywhere this weekend. I think I will manage to be productive and get a lot done. I'll be mad at myself if I don't. I think finishing this book is a start though. I've kind of made a timeline. Tonight I'm finishing this book and going to bed early. Tomorrow I'm doing half of my course journal and thinking more about my project. Sunday is the rest of the course journal and start an outline on the paper. Monday is finishing outline and start writing. Tuesday is finish paper. Wed is press release. Thursday I turn that all in and go to Ireland. Whether I follow that schedule or not, I'm going to get it all done.
I've almost eaten another box of cookies in one day. I need to not buy cookies anymore because this is not healthy. On the other hand, my apricots were ripe today. They were delicious.
The most addicting cookies ever. The tagline is "one may lead to another!" (Sorry its backwards)
